Cassette I Side A
The tape is
part of the Freerk Kamma collection. It is a cassette Sony HF90 in the same
brand box. On side A of the cassette was the continuation of Tape 19 A, the
beginning of Tape 19 A was on Band 143. This part has been edited on the file
for convenience. On side B of the cassette was a copy of Tape 19 B. Both sides
were part of a documentary about the pottery industries of West Irian, Seni music
di Kurudu, by Jane and Gerald Hebdige during a 2-day visit in July 1971 to the
island of Kurudu.
Side A starts with the introduction followed by talking and interviews, from
time to time some songs mostly solo. Side B talking, some songs, 32’39 – 38’31
and 41’58 – 45’02 string band songs live performance. Bahasa, English, local Papua languages
